Henry Achampong, MD, MS, is the founder and an experienced pain management physician at Maryland Pain & Wellness Center. He treats chronic and acute pain, focusing on cancer pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and spine disorders, utilizing pharmacological and interventional treatments. Dr. Achampong is trained in various interventional pain approaches, including epidural injections, facet injections, radiofrequency techniques, discography, spinal cord stimulators, and vertebroplasty.

Dr. Achampong completed his medical training at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and his anesthesiology training at The Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He completed his interventional pain management fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He maintains active memberships with several professional organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
